Columbus woman allegedly found with nearly $1,500 worth of marijuana

A woman was found with nearly $1,500 worth of marijuana Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Howard Avenue, according to Columbus police.

Michelle Barcus, 20, faces one count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. She was booked into the Muscogee County Jail.

Columbus police said they were at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Howard Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Sunday when they found Barcus with 148.3 grams of marijuana (street value of $1,483). No additional details were given in the initial police report.
