Man charged with statutory rape and furnishing obscene materials to minors
The Special Victims Unit has arrested a man on a statutory rape charge , Columbus police said Tuesday.
Raheem James McClam, 19, also is charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to minors after his arrest. He is held in the Muscogee County Jail for a Recorder’s Court hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigated by Police Sgt. John Bailey of the Special Victims Unit, the charges stem from a July 31, 2017 report of a girl who was listed as a runaway before she was allegedly assaulted.
