Suspect charged with shooting Columbus man in front of child
More than two months after a man was shot in front of a child, a 35-year-old was charged Wednesday in connection with the November incident.
Marques Foxworth faces one count each of aggravated assault, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and third-degree child cruelty. He is being held in the Muscogee County Jail for a 9 a.m. Friday hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court.
Columbus police were called to the 400 block of Central Circle around 5:13 p.m. Nov. 13 to investigate a shooting.
Officials found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in his left hand and leg. The initial police report indicates that a child witnessed the incident.
