Columbus police looking for man who went missing after release from jail

Columbus Police are asking for the public’s help in locating 25-year-old Randy Phillips.

Police say Phillips was last seen outside the Muscogee County Jail on 10th Street after he was released on Jan. 5, 2018. He had been arrested for possessing a small amount of marijuana the day before, according to police records.

Phillips is black, slightly taller than 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair, police say.

Police say anyone with information about Phillips’ whereabouts is encouraged to call 911 or the CPD Special Victim’s Unit at 706-653-3449.
