Columbus man charged after shooting in his front yard, police say
A 40-year-old man was arrested Tuesday evening after he allegedly fired a pistol outside of his Sims Street home, according to Columbus police.
William Odom was charged with one count of reckless conduct. He was booked into the Muscogee County Jail.
Columbus police were called to the 4200 block of Sims Street around 6:35 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a man who was seen firing a rifle in his front yard. No further details about the incident were given in the initial police report.
