A West Point, Ga., woman already wanted on outstanding assault charges was taken into custody Wednesday, two days after an apartment duplex fire in the 1400 block of Avenue K, the West Point Police Department said in a release.

Wanda M. Buckner , 44, was booked into the Troup County Jail and held without bond after her 6:15 p.m. arrest. She was wanted on one count each of aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, aggravated assault and multiple misdemeanor charges in connection with an Aug. 25, 2017 incident.
