Man leaving Club Fetish found with stolen gun, police say

A 24-year-old man was allegedly found with a stolen gun and $55 worth of marijuana early Wednesday after leaving Club Fetish, authorities said.

Bronterrious Jakes, 24, was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, theft by receiving stolen property and tinted windows. He was placed in the Muscogee County for a 8 a.m. Thursday hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court.

A Columbus police officer was patrolling near Armour Road and Manchester Expressway around 1:52 .am. Wednesday when he spotted a black 1994 Toyota Corolla with dark tinted windows leaving the Club Fetish parking lot.

The officer stopped the driver, who was identified Jakes, after he turned onto Manchester Expressway. Authorities found 5.5 grams of marijuana (street value of $55) packaged in containers and baggies and a stolen firearm during the traffic stop, according to an arrest report.
