A man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly kidnapped a woman from a Columbus home on 41st Street, authorities said.
Jesse Horace Ferrell, 29, was charged with one count each of kidnapping, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and pointing a pistol at another. He was booked into the Muscogee County Jail for a 9 a.m. Wednesday hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court.
Columbus police were called to a home in the 1200 block of 41st Street around 7:38 p.m. Monday to investigate a kidnapping.
Lt. Ralph Dowe said Ferrell kidnapped a woman at gunpoint and aimed the pistol at a man in the house. He allegedly took her to a home in the 1000 block of 42nd Street, where he released her. She wasn't injured.
Ferrell was then taken into custody at the 42nd Street residence.
