Man struck by vehicle and killed on J.R. Allen Parkway, coroner says
A 32-year-old Columbus man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on J.R. Allen Parkway, authorities said Tuesday.
Richard Lamb was pronounced dead at 12:55 a.m. at Piedmont Columbus Regional midtown campus of blunt-force injuries including a skull fracture, said Muscogee County Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley. No autopsy is planned but there will be blood tests conducted in connection with the death.
Worley said lamb was struck on J.R. Allen near Veterans Parkway.
The crash remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
