Police searching for man believed to be involved in fatal shooting in Phenix City

Phenix City police are searching for a possible suspect in a fatal Saturday shooting, according to a release from the department.

The incident occurred just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday on the 1300 block of Eighth Street South in Phenix City. Police responded to calls about a shooting at the address and upon arrival, found Kishard Miller, 30, dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by the Russell County Coroner’s Office, according to police.

Police are now searching for Jasper Miller, 33, who they believe to be armed and dangerous.

He was last seen driving a tan 1998 Lincoln Town car, with the Alabama tag number TVR 171. He’s wanted for questioning in the case, according to police.

Anyone who sees Miller should not approach him, and immediately call 911.
