Columbus man facing charges of rape, child molestation arrested by U.S. Marshall, police say

A 35-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for multiple outstanding warrants on child molestation charges and more.

Jermaine Alexander was arrested by the U.S. Marshall Service for a number of warrants, including two counts of felony sodomy, two counts of felony statutory rape and child molestation, and felony aggravated child molestation.

Alexander’s other charges are two counts of felony electronic pornography and child explotation prevention as well as two counts of felony enticing a child for indecent purposes.

The Columbus Police Department Special Victims Unit had been looking for Alexander since Jan. 2018. His charges were not disclosed at that time. The department could not be reached for comment Tuesday afternoon.

His Recorder’s Court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 13.
