Columbus police looking for fourth suspect in homicide of Alabama man lured for robbery

Columbus police are looking for a fourth individual in connection to a June incident that left a Montgomery man dead from an attempted robbery gone wrong.

25-year-old Wayman McMillian is wanted for armed robbery and murder in the June 22 shooting death of 22-year-old Travis Henry at the corner of 17th Avenue and Nina Street.

Columbus police found Henry with a gunshot wound to the chest just before 7:30 a.m and he later died of his injuries at a local hospital.

Lydell Sparks appeared in Recorder’s Court last week facing the same charges in the case. Kalaya Sumter, 17, and Terreona Horton, 20 have also previously appeared in Recorder’s Court on charges connected to Henry’s death.

Anyone with additional information regarding Henry’s homicide or knows the whereabouts of McMillian is asked to call Det. Sherman Hayes at 706-225-4268.
