Identity of Columbus man killed in shooting Friday morning on Saunders Drive released

Donquaris Fletcher, 21, was killed in a shooting on early Friday in Columbus, confirmed Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan. He was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds at 7:26 a.m.

The shooting occurred at a duplex near Saunders Drive and Morningside Drive.

Bryan said some nearby residents reported hearing shots around 2 a.m. He said that timeline could be consistent with the state of the body when pronounced by Deputy Coroner Elisabeth Allison.
