19-year-old pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle in Columbus, coroner says

A 19-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a vehicle early Sunday, Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan told the Ledger-Enquirer.

The pedestrian, Vicente Perez, was hit on 51st Street and Veterans Parkway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Bryan said.

Information about the driver and whether they’ll face criminal charges has not been released.

The Ledger-Enquirer will report more information when it becomes available.
