Columbus police arrest suspect on charges of murder, assault in Benning Hills Park case
Columbus police have arrested Kenneth Miles, 21, on charges of murder and aggravated assault in the death of 22-year-old Brianna Robinson and the shooting of a 19-year-old man.
According to the Columbus Police Department’s news release, officers were dispatched at 11:54 p.m. on Feb. 12 to Benning HIlls Park in reference to two injured people.
Officers found Robinson and a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton pronounced Robinson dead at the scene at 12:54 a.m. Feb. 13. Emergency Medical Services transported the man to Piedmont Columbus Regional’s midtown hospital.
Miles was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Recorder’s Court.
