Teen killed in Columbus shooting, authorities say

A 17-year-old has died after a weekend shooting in Columbus, authorities said Sunday.

According to the Muscogee County Coroner’s office, the shooting happened Sunday afternoon at a Shell service station at Amber Drive and Buena Vista Road.

Deputy Coroner Elizabeth Allison pronounced Rutravious Loftin dead at the scene at 4 p.m., authorities said.

Columbus police had released no details on the shooting as of Sunday evening.
