Phenix City police seek tips in fatal 3 a.m. shooting

Homicide detectives in Phenix City are asking the public’s help as they investigate the shooting of a 31-year-old man early Friday.

Officers called around 3 a.m. found Sicorey Baker mortally wounded at 101 10th Ave. South, authorities said. A police patrol log listed that address as the L.P. Stough Apartments.

Baker died at the scene, police said.

Capt. Darrell “Skip” Lassiter Jr. of the Phenix City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has asked that anyone with information on Baker’s shooting call Investigator Roderick Johnson at 334-448-2839 or Lt. Angela Leslie at 334-448-2837.
