Phenix City man dies after he’s hit by pickup on Alabama Highway 80, troopers say

A pedestrian from Phenix City died after he was hit by a pickup truck Saturday on Alabama Highway 80, authorities said.

Timothy Gerald Moye, 32, was struck by a 2000 GMC pickup driven by a 69-year-old Seale, Alabama, man, according to a news release Sunday from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. near Phenix City, the news release said. The release did not give details about what led to the crash. The agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating, it said.
