The Homicide Victims Memorial has been restored to its original status, according to Director of Victim Services Shelly Hall.

Vandalism of the memorial was reported to the District Attorney’s Victim-Witness on Sept. 19.

Hall says that family members of victims gathered Friday to restore the memorial to its prior status.

“It looks amazing,” Hall said in a email. “We are still planning to move forward with an entirely new structure, but it might take some time.”

The Victim-Witness office is currently in talks to partner with the Dragonfly Trail Network, according to Hall. She is going before the city council next week to seek its approval.
