Phenix City man, 19, killed in Tuesday evening shooting at apartment complex

One person is dead after shooting at a Phenix City apartment complex Tuesday evening.
Jaemond Smith, age 19, of Phenix City was found dead from gunshot wounds in the 300 block of the Riverview Apartments, police said. He was shot around 8:30 p.m.

This is the third homicide in Phenix City in the past two weeks after the double homicide on the Phenix City Riverwalk on Dec. 3.
