Body found on Fifth Avenue in Columbus Sunday, according to coroner

Columbus police are investigating a body found Sunday in the area of 17th Street and Fifth Avenue, according to the department’s Twitter account.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said no identity has been made at this time, due to the condition of the body.
The Muscogee County Sheriff’s office were originally on the scene before CPD took over the investigation, according to officials.
