One dead in weekend shooting on Buena Vista Road in Columbus
One person is dead following a shooting Friday night on Buena Vista Road, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
Bryan said the victim, who is yet to be identified, suffered a gunshot wound.
DNA samples have been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in order to help identify the victim, according to Bryan.
This is the 29th homicide in Columbus this year, according to a list compiled by the Ledger-Enquirer.
