Columbus man killed in Phenix City shooting, Russell County coroner says

A Columbus man is dead following a fatal shooting that occurred around midnight last night in Phenix City, according to Russell County Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr.
The victim, Carnell Mobley, 25, was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 7:49 a.m on Thursday, according to Sumbry.
Sumbry said the shooting happened in the 1700 block of 20th Avenue in Phenix City.
The victim will be sent to Montgomery for an autopsy, according to Sumbry.
