One man is dead following a shooting in a LaGrange park Monday morning, according to the LaGrange Police Department.

Kenneth Stanley Dial was found suffering gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene in the 2700 block of Monty Bridge Road.

Police say the victim came to the park earlier in the morning for a routine walk. An acquaintance of Stanley’s who also came to the park to walk located Stanley shortly before 8 a.m., Monday and called 911, according to police.

Police say that witnesses in the area reported hearing gunshots in the vicinity around 7:30 a.m.
