Overnight shooting on Clover Lane in Columbus claims the life of 50-year-old man

One man is dead following an overnight shooting in the 2500 block of Clover Lane, according to police.
Police said they responded to the shooting just after midnight Wednesday morning.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the victim as Frank Bell, 50.
Police said the victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:51 a.m.
This is the 47th homicide in the city of Columbus this year, according to a list compiled by the Ledger-Enquirer.
