Victims identified in fatal double shooting Friday in Columbus on Wise Street
The victims of a double fatal shooting Friday afternoon in Columbus have been identified by authorities.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said one person was found dead in a vehicle and another in a yard on Wise Street.
The bodies were found about a half mile from Key Elementary School.
Bryan identified the victims as Theodore Alexander. 34, and Troyverion Williams, 21, who were pronounced dead at 4:36 p.m.
The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken lead on the investigation, according to a news release.

This is the third and fourth homicides to occur in Columbus in 2024, according to a list compiled by the Ledger-Enquirer.
In 2023, there were 57 homicides reported in Columbus, according to a list compiled by the Ledger-Enquirer.
