Weekend shooting in Columbus leaves one teenager dead and two other victims injured

A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot this weekend and two other victims were injured in Columbus, police reported.

Police responded at 12:24 a.m., on Sunday, April 7, to Tip Top drive concerning shots fired, police said.

Responding officers found Bryson Cochran, 17, who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to a news release.

Cochran was pronounced dead at 1:23 a.m., according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.

Police said two other victims were transported to a hospital for gunshot wounds.

They are in stable condition, according to police.
