Victim identified in early Monday homicide on Morris Road in Columbus

One woman is dead following a shooting early Monday , according to Columbus police.
Police responded to the 800 block of Morris Road where they found a female dead at the scene, according to a news release.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Jakesa Josey, according to Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan.
She was pronounced dead at 1:28 a.m., according to officials.
