Updated: Victims identified in East Columbus shooting that left 2 people dead on Sunday
Two people are dead following a shooting Sunday afternoon in Columbus, according to police.
The shooting occurred at The Lowell Apartments in the 4700 block of Milgen Road in East Columbus, where there was a heavy police presence Sunday afternoon.
The victims have been identified as Kayla Jenkins, 23, and Deandre Jones, 27, according to Columbus police.
Police said responding officers found Jenkins lying outside suffering from gunshot wounds and found Jones inside one of the units suffering from gunshot wounds.
The deadly shootings came just two days after another homicide at the Avalon Apartments.
