A 22-year-old man apparently shot and killed his father in Phenix City on Friday, police said.
Christopher B. Womack, 52, was fatally shot near 2700 College Drive Friday afternoon. Phenix City police arrested his son Christopher Justin Womack and charged him with murder.
The circumstances surrounding the homicide were not released by police.
A spokesperson for Phenix City police said there will be additional charges filed and the investigation is ongoing.
