One man is in custody and another is being sought in connection with a Sunday drive-by shooting in Lee County that left a 16-year-old girl wounded, authorities said.
Anthony Jerrell Greene, 21, of Smiths Station, Ala., is linked by Lee County Sheriff’s deputies to the 245 Lee Road 500 shooting. Deputies continue to search for Oscarneil Wesley Johnson, 21, who’s also wanted in connection with the shooting, a release states.
According to reports, a white Lincoln Sedan stopped in front of a residence around 6:15 p.m. CDT. Two men, one with a shotgun and the other with a handgun, exited the car and fired several shots at the home, officials said.
At that time, a Trailblazer with five people inside pulled behind the Lincoln and saw the shooting.
“The offenders then turned their guns on the Trailblazer and fired several shots into the Trailblazer,” the release states.
A 16-year-old girl, who was inside the Trailblazer, was hit in the shoulders as the driver tried to escape. She went to The Medical Center, where she was treated and released, authorities said.
