Auntavious Jashon Curry, the 20-year-old accused of fatally shooting an Auburn, Ala., man on Monday, was charged with murder on Wednesday, police said.
Curry, of Auburn, is accused of shooting Theodore Thaddeus Reese, 32, at a Lee Road 17 home around 8 p.m. CST. Reese was pronounced dead at the scene, and Curry was taken to the East Alabama Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound to his left arm, police said.
On Wednesday, Curry was released from the hospital, taken to the Lee County Detention Center and charged with murder at 2 p.m. CST, police said. His bond has been set at $100,000.
The shooting was the first homicide of the year for Auburn.
