2 arrested outside Fantasy's with possible burglary tools
Columbus police arrested two men early today loitering outside Fantasy’s with possible burglary tools, reports state.
Officers spotted a 1998 Honda Accord driving slowly through the parking lot of the 5664 Lakeshore Road business around 1:42 a.m. The car stopped, and an officer saw the passenger taking his shirt off, reports state.
Both men started making “furtive” movements, and one officer recognized one of the suspects as a convicted burglar, police said.
One of the men, identified by police as 23-year-old Fairley Armstrong Jr., had a suspended license. He was arrested, reports state.
The officers then searched the vehicle and found a black hoodie underneath the passenger seat, a black cloth with eye and nose holes cut in it, gray gloves, a box of rubber gloves, two hammers and a crowbar, police report.
Christopher Lee, 23, was then arrested, reports state.
Both men face charges of burglary, loitering or prowling and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. Armstrong faces an additional charge of driving while license suspended or revoked, jail records state.
