Two charged in 38th Street robbery inside home

Two men accused of firing shots inside a 1020 38th St. home and taking nearly $6,000 in jewelry, guns and other items, pleaded not guilty to robbery charges during a hearing today in Recorder's Court.

A Fort Mitchell, Ala., woman wasn't injured in the robbery which occurred about 1:55 a.m. Monday.

Police charged Colin and Devin Chester late Monday after one of the brothers was recognized on a street in the neighborhood.

In a report to police, the victim said someone forced open the door and threatened her with a pistol. Once inside, the gunman took items valued at nearly $6,000. Items included $4,300 in jewelry, $800 worth of guns and other items.
