Three more people have been arrested and charged with murder in last week’s death of a Columbus 15-year-old, according to a post from Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman’s Facebook page.

The post says three people were taken into custody and each charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in connection with the death of Earkavion Lee.

One suspect named in the post is Demetrius Miles, who the Columbus Police Department said is 19 years old. Two suspects identified in the post are under the age of 18, according to CPD. It is Ledger-Enquirer policy to not publish the names of arrested people who are younger than 18.

Lee, who was a freshman at Kendrick High School, was shot and killed Thursday on Watkins Drive after getting off a school bus, the Ledger-Enquirer reported.

The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and the Columbus Police Department assisted the South East Regional Fugitive Task Force alongside the FBI and the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office to locate and apprehend the suspects, according to the post.

The post says all subjects were turned over to the Columbus Police Department. The case remains under investigation, according to the post.

One person previously was arrested in Lee’s death. Roannil Clanton, 20, was charged with murder, the Ledger-Enquirer reported.
