Phenix City man pistol whipped near South Lumpkin Road

A 22-year-old man told officers two suspects hit him in the head with a pistol and kicked him near the intersection of South Lumpkin Road and Torch Hill Road Monday, according to a Columbus police report.

Police spoke with the victim, who appeared to be injured, after he was spotted walking on the Oglethorpe Bridge Monday around 12:30 a.m. The victim reported soreness in his right side after the attack.

The suspects took $500 in cash, a Fossil wallet with an Auburn design and a cell phone during the robbery, the victim reported.

One suspect was described as a 6-foot black man who weighs around 180 pounds. He had a short Afro, a goatee and was last seen wearing a white shirt and black pants.

The other suspect was described as a black man wearing a white shirt and black pants.
