Robbers pistol whip man near Adair Avenue

A 54-year-old man told police two robbers beat him with a pistol and took his wallet near the intersection of Adair Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Wednesday, according to a Columbus police report.

The victim told police he was too scared to report the incident until hours after the early morning robbery. He said he was walking near the intersection when two men and struck him with the butt of a pistol and said, "You are being robbed. Give me your wallet." Both men fled on foot shortly afterward.

The first suspect was described as a 5-foot-6 skinny black man with short, twisted hair and dark skin, according to the report. The second was described as a 5-foot-6 skinny black man with short hair and light skin.
