Coroner says Robert Bolden died from gunshot wound to torso

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said on Sunday that an autopsy showed Robert Bolden of Columbus died from a gunshot wound to the torso.

"It is ruled a homicide," Bryan said.

The autopsy was done in Atlanta.

Bolden was shot to death on his 44th birthday, Nov. 5, at Hawthorne and Riverland Drive near the Riverwind Apartments in Oakland Park.

He was pronounced dead at 6:56 p.m. that day at Midtown Medical Center.

His death is the 20th homicide in Columbus this year.

Columbus police are continuing to investigate and no arrests have been made.
