Two vehicles broken into at apartment complex on Old Macon Road

Two people told police that someone at different times of the day Sunday entered their automobiles parked at their apartment complex on Old Macon Road, according to a Columbus police report.

Between midnight and 9:30 a.m. Sunday, someone entered an unlocked Chevy Suburban and took the keys to a BMW, according to the victim. Nothing else was reported missing. The keys were valued at $100.

Between 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:45 p.m. Sunday, someone entered an unlocked Hyundai Sonata and took the victim's check book valued at $40. Nothing else was reported missing.

Neither report gives an indication if the incidents were related.
