Officials charged a 36-year-old man with terroristic threats threats and interference with government property after he threatened a police officer Monday morning, according to a Columbus police report.
Police said Quontahro Chapple spat on the officer and threatened to kill him when officers confronted the suspect on the 2600 block of Juniper Avenue. Chapple is also accused of causing under $500 in damage to a patrol car by kicking it.
Officers did not disclose the events leading to Chapple's confrontation with police.
Chapple was transported to the Muscogee County Jail.
