Officers say a wanted suspect opened fire on a Fourth Avenue apartment while two adults and two children were inside, according to a Columbus police report.
A 30-year-old man, 19-year-old woman and two children under 5 years old told police they were inside the 2700 block Fourth Avenue apartment when several shots were fired around 8:40 a.m., Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
A woman in a nearby apartment told police that a bullet shattered her window during the shooting, according to the report. The owner of a 2005 Ford Mustang also reported damage to his vehicle.
Witnesses described the shooter as a black man with shoulder-length dreadlocks who was last seen driving a late model sports utility vehicle, which appeared to be either a Chevrolet Tahoe or Chevrolet Suburban.
