Two arrested in reported Golden Cherry Motel robbery

The two allegedly responsible for the Saturday Golden Cherry Motel robbery are behind bars, Opelika police Capt. Shane D. Healey said in a press release.

Tamara Leigh Ramos, 27, and Ulyses Rosa, 31, were arrested Tuesday on East Glenn Avenue in Auburn, Ala. They were charged with second-degree robbery and booked into the Lee County Detention Center, Healey said.

Officers believe those involved in the 10:45 p.m. offense stole unspecified property from the victim and assaulted him.

The victim had no significant injuries, and did not receive medical treatment following the incident in the 1000 block of Second Avenue, Healey said.
