Police catch alleged Kmart robber Tuesday night

The 39-year-old man police believe used a semi-automatic firearm Sunday to rob a Columbus Kmart in the 2500 block of Airport Thruway was arrested Tuesday, according to reports.

Jeremy Robinson of Box Springs, who didn't harm anyone during the incident, was apprehended in the 6900 block of Ga. Highway 355 at 7:50 p.m. and charged with armed robbery, officers said.

Robinson allegedly exposed a dark-colored semi-automatic firearm and demanded all the oxycodone tablets in the store's pharmacy. He then stole 747 tablets of oxycodone with a retail value of $1,366.05, police said in a report.

The suspect resident is set to appear in Recorder's Court Friday to face the case, according to arrest report
