Alleged bicycle thief arrested for Auburn burglary

A 33-year-old man has been accused of stealing household items March 4 from an Auburn residence in the 1300 block of N. Dean Road, Auburn police announced Wednesday.

Alleged offender Jordan E. Holley of Auburn was arrested Friday, March 6 and charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft of property and third-degree receiving stolen property, officers said in a press release. Holley is being held in the Lee County Jail, and he's eligible for a $7,000 bond, according to Auburn officials.

The victim told police that someone forced entry into a garage located at his residence and stole bicycles, clothing and other household items that collectively costs $1,900, according to the release.

Police later found the stolen property in Holley's vehicle, officials said.
