About 19 Columbus police officers gave a first injury report Thursday after unknowingly walking into an "illegal meth lab" in the 1100 block of 31st Street.
Now in good condition, Burglary and Theft Division members were in the process of serving a search and arrest warrant Thursday at between 9:30 a.m. and 12:08 p.m. when they found chemicals used to make methamphetamine on the lower shelf of a bookcase in the living room area, behind the front door, a reports shows.
Though the team was exposed to harmful chemicals, they required no medical treatment, officials said in a report.
