Alleged Kmart robber waives hearing Friday

The Box Springs man police say used a semi-automatic to rob a Columbus Kmart appeared in Recorder's Court Friday morning.

Charged with armed robbery, Jeremy Robinson, 39, filed a not guilty plea before waiving his hearing to Superior Court. He was ordered to be held in the Muscogee County Jail.

Arrested Tuesday, Robinson was accused of exposing a dark-colored semi-automatic firearm to the Kmart pharmacists employed at the store in the 2500 block of Airport Thruway Sunday and demanding the employeegive him all of the pharmacy's oxycodone pills.

No one was hurt during the offense, but the attacker did steal 747 oxycodone pills with a retail value of $1,366.
