Two robbers take cash from Speakeasy on Mercury Drive

Two men, one armed with a pistol, robbed the Speakeasy on Mercury Drive late Friday, Columbus police said.

No one was injured in the 11:31 p.m. robbery at 3123 Mercury Drive.

Police said the robbers entered through a back north door and demanded cash before taking about $2,000 from the business. They may have fled in a white Chevy Suburban with silver rims. The back passenger rims were different from those on the front of the vehicle.

One of the two robbers was described as black, about 6 feet tall, 30-years-old and weighing about 200 pounds. No description was available on the second suspect.

The holdup remains under investigation.
