Armed robbers target man, woman outside of Columbus Best Western hotel

A Columbus man and woman survived a Wednesday armed robbery outside of the Best Western hotel on Macon Road, according to reports.

Records show that officials haven't identified the two robbers who reportedly used two pistols to target the 24-year-old woman and 27-year-old man in a parking lot in the 3400 block of Macon Road. Though the victims, who were not harmed, provided a description of the two involved in the 3:29 a.m. incident.

The first offender was described as a 6-foot-2 tall black man who weighs 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and a black hat, according to police records.

In the report, the second suspect is listed as a black male between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 9 who weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The armed robbers may be spotted in an unknown black vehicle, police said.

The initial report does not show any stolen items.

On Wednesday, police received a 3:29 a.m. call concerning the incident.

The case remains under investigation.
