A Troy man died in a Saturday two-vehicle crash in Pike County, according to a release.
Authorities say Maurice Hill, 37, was killed when the 1999 Mazda he was driving ran off the US 29 at the 119 mile marker. Hill attempted to bring his vehicle back onto the road when he over-corrected, crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2001 Oldsmobile driven by 21-year-old Jeremy Jermaine Boyd of Brundidge, said Trooper Kevin Cook with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information/Education Unit.
Hill was pronounced dead at the scene, and Boyd and three passengers in his vehicle were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, Cook said.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
