A 31-year-old Columbus man was rushed to Midtown Medical Center after he was shot in Benning Hills Wednesday afternoon, police said.
He underwent emergency surgery and is now in critical condition, Columbus Police Maj. Gil Slouchick said.
Officials have no information on a possible suspect as the shooting remains under investigation.
At about 5:10 p.m.Wednesday, police were called to the Waffle House at 4301 Victory Drive in reference to the shooting victim, Columbus Police Lt. Consuelo Askew said. An ongoing investigation revealed that the shooting occurred on Prado Drive at about 5 p.m., Askew said.
